Services Used by Desertio.com

Desertio.com currently uses the following services and technical systems:

  • Website hosting: Desertio.com is hosted by Hostinger. Hostinger processes technical information required to deliver the website, maintain server security, prevent abuse, create backups, and operate the hosting infrastructure.
  • Website analytics: Desertio.com uses Hostinger’s hosting analytics and server log information to understand general website traffic, visitor countries, device types, traffic sources, page requests, and technical performance. Desertio.com does not currently use Google Analytics.
  • Advertising: Desertio.com uses Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies, device identifiers, IP addresses, browser information, advertising identifiers, and information about visits to this and other websites.
  • Cookie and advertising controls: Desertio.com does not currently use a separate third-party cookie consent platform such as Cookiebot, CookieYes, or Complianz. Where Google displays an advertising consent or privacy message, that message and the associated advertising choices are provided through Google’s advertising systems.
  • Email and subscriptions: Desertio.com does not currently use a separate external email marketing platform such as Mailchimp. Contact emails and subscription information are handled through the website’s WordPress and Hostinger email systems.
  • Comments and public accounts: Desertio.com does not provide public user accounts or public WordPress comments. Visitors cannot create public profiles or publish comments on the website.
  • Spam protection: Desertio.com does not currently use Google reCAPTCHA, Akismet, or another external spam-protection service on public comment forms.
  • Maps and videos: Desertio.com does not automatically load embedded Google Maps, YouTube videos, or similar third-party map and video services on ordinary page visits. Maps and diagrams created directly for Desertio.com are delivered as part of the website.
  • CDN and security: Website delivery, HTTPS encryption, server security, backups, and related infrastructure are provided through Hostinger. Desertio.com does not currently use Cloudflare as a separate CDN, analytics, or security provider.
  • Social media: Desertio.com may link to external social networks, including Facebook, Bluesky, and Mastodon. These services do not receive information from Desertio.com merely because a link is displayed. Information is transferred to them when a visitor follows a link or interacts with their website.
